Driving fast will get you there faster. So that is exactly what we did. Departing Portland, with little in the way of landscape imagery, (Trojan Nuclear was once a landmark before its implosion), we made it to Tacoma in two hours. Tacoma has become a sort of ritual stopping ground for us before going on to Seattle, with two of our favorite offerings. New Hampshire NH N.H., First is The Tacoma Glass Museum (http://www.museumofglass.org/) with oblong slanting cinder cone and in house 'hot shop', where you can witness displays of blown glass. Second, Tacoma has amazing record stores, where you can always find a good Zombies record.
An after thought while in Tacoma; we had planned to meet a friend from Portland, who happened to be visiting his sister at the near by military base, buy bactrim from canada. We found ourselves waving at him from across the street at the exact time a peaceful protest march to stop the war in Iraq made its way down 6th avenue. We decided to skip politics and just stood admiring the processions creative posters and lively marching band. It felt more like a festival and our impressions were matched when a passing woman asked us what the parade was for.
After arriving in Seattle
at The Hotel Max, http://www.hotelmaxseattle.com/, we checked in to our room on the 7th floor and found our Bodies Tickets waiting for us on the night stand. The Max hotel is an Art loving space with modern minamilist design; each room has an original piece of art by a Northwest Artist and an original photo covering the door like a poster. We appreciated their support of artists while infusing the art work throughout the hotel. Buy bactrim from canada, In the room we found a complete catalog of information about the Hotel Art and backgrounds of the artist. Ordering bactrim online,
The first part of the Bodies Exhibition http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/ focused on the skeletal structure. Inside the exhibit it was clear this was a science educational display. Historically the human figure has been the most popular subject in art, based on the notion that we copy it because it is the thing we know best. In school I (Stephanie) took the first semester of an Anatomy for Artists class with the goal to learn more about the body beneath the surface. Attending this exhibit with that drawing class would have been amazing, We did manage to make a few sketches. District of Columbia DC D.C., Acting as an educational exhibit for lay people and medical students, the exhibit also seems to say there is no greater creation than the human body. The doctors and scientist who prepared the bodies have some hand in the creation of the preserved body, preservation and dissection taking up to a year in some cases.

Some of the bodies posses were a bit curios, Order bactrim no prescription, like one body standing across and holding hands with his own skeleton, while others were mesmerizing and beautiful, like the display of an entire body sliced horizontally, thin like prosciutto.
The exhibit repeatedly used the word "respectfully" along side the bodies they were displaying, buy bactrim from canada. The actual thought and design of the show was done very well, but seeing this language provoked a feeling that what you were looking at was ok because it was done respectfully, but in any other circumstances it would have been wrong. The identities of the bodies used were kept confidential. The exhibit was made up from people who donated their body to science or were unidentified. All Bodies were obtained through the Dalian Medical University Plastination Laboratories in the Peoples Republic of China, bactrim without a prescription. Asia has the best group of dissectors in the world, they prepare bodies for educational and scientific use in Asia, the US and Europe. Through research we found out that this exhibit is a spin-off of the original Body Worlds originally created by Gunther von Hagens who invented and patented the Plastination process that allows the bodies to be preserved. Buy bactrim from canada, His exhibit Body Worlds 3 is coming to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) in June.
The displays of healthy organs were especially interesting when paired with other diseased organs, South Dakota SD. On the top left are healthy lungs and below them are blackend lungs from smoking. The bodies themselves seemed 'unreal,' the preservation process had created a wax like coating and texture which made them seem fabricated. Not like preserving something in formaldehyde and retaining their moist slimy appearance. Damien Hirst's 'shark in a tank' series comes to mind. Although, the display of fetuses did have the feeling of being alive, their tiny bones lit up with red dye, enforced their sense of delicacy.
The displays of the circulatory system had the most sheer beauty of any other, buy bactrim from canada. It offered a break from seeing actual human muscle and tissue. The arteries of a Kidney looked like a dense furry red sea sponge. One amazing display omitted the organs, Ordering bactrim, bones and muscle to show the blood vessels of the whole body, a delicate three dimensional fragile red fabric. Each square inch of skin contains 20 feet of blood vessels.
The Bodies Exhibition is worth the trip up to Seattle. It is a great educational tool to learn first hand about anatomy. It also allows the viewer to make connections between their lifestyle and the health of their body, something we need reminding of from time to time. We can't think of anything that reminds us more of human mortality than looking a dead people for two hours.
